Question:
I had a really bad trip while I did shrooms, not sure if what experienced was ego death but I thought I was gonna lose my sanity or just die. I did a little more than 4g of shrooms (most I ever did before was 3g) and I smoked a joint mid trip and had the worst trip ever. I had terrible pains in my head while I was having a bad trip and it just felt like my brain was short circuiting. Its been a week since and my head doesn’t feel normal.

From the way you describe it, it could maybe be the metabolites still playing a hand. I had hangovers like that in the past as well, sometimes the different glands secreting hormones need time to readjust after a trip like that. Some are more spent than others, so if there is an imbalance, your brain usually will tell you with a default pain signal. Give your mind a rest, drink more water or tea to flush out the metabolites faster and try to be active with an elevated heart rate to adjust hormones levels back to normal.
Do proper harm reduction research. Shrooms will never “permafry your brain”. You’re probably young, overly sensitive to certain subjects and took a potent dose of a Psychedelic. 4g is a good bit, especially if you’re young. Drink water, take vitamins, go out and communicate with people. Your brain will go back to normal
