Welcome to my Digital Garden, my permanently incomplete and ever-expanding archive of my understanding of the world.
Pages here are living documents, permanent works in progress, always evolving and ever changing. They are drafts, messy, unfinished, incomplete or experiments. They grow and change over time.
Thoughts here will have tons of context omitted, which can make it hard to see the full picture or what I believe without being in my mind. This is a complement to my mind, not the integrity of it.
Don’t take anything you encounter here too seriously, no idea is fixed or beyond questioning, and most of it is not even decided upon.

WHY??
I tend to dive down rabbit holes a lot, and given the cost of context switching and memory deteriorating over time, sometimes the state I build up in my mind gets lost between the chances I get to dive in. These ‘linkdump’ posts are an attempt to collate at least some of that state in a way that I can hopefully restore to my brain at a later point.
Also, I find huge learning benefits, in “reporting” my steps during any learning exercise, as it forces me to justify my understanding rather then glaze over details.
There is also something called Rhizomatic Thinking, where the world becomes less like a filing cabinet and more like a living ecosystem of correspondences and connections. Meaning stops residing inside isolated things and starts emerging from the invisible architecture of their relationships. I believe that all the interconnected notes I drop out here from time to time are a materialized form to offload my rhizomatic thinking.

Last but not least, this is suppose to be my own little personal bastion against the dead internet. I hate posts or media made by any LLMshitty.
For most people the internet is just 4 or 5 apps on their phones. We are losing so many important thoughts because people are only willing to dedicate themselves to produce content for these platforms. In addition to these platforms being able to delete, censor or take anything we publish for themselves, they also disincentivize posts from being thoughtful or in-depth because every post must have a limited amount of characters or seconds to meet the feed requirements and satisfy the algorithm agenda. The ephemeral and short-form nature of social media reinforces this.
You don’t own the content you upload into youtube or instagram. You are allowed to rent space on Megacorp’s servers in exchange for giving up your content, privacy, freedom of speech, and other human rights.
This is my corner of the internet. I own it. No algorithms deciding what you see and no engagement metrics. I write whatever I want and the note will live as long as I keep this infra up.
fuckletterbox.sargx.net and foto.sargx.net are kinda of my response to it. Sites like Letterboxd encourage users to care more about how their profiles look than the actual movies/music itself in the same way mainstream social media encourage people to care more about their pictures and posts than their actual experiences themselves. This in itself is extremely unnatural, unhealthy, and damaging to people.

That doesn’t mean that sometimes I don’t read things I’ve written here at some point and instantly “dies from cringe” lol. I’m not a pro writer and I’m okay with it.
The last migration corrupted the notes' metadata, mb. The creation and update dates are wrong. Always keep in mind that what you read is not necessarily what I think now or what I currently believe.
