How to Disable WebRTC Leak in Firefox

Launch Firefox and do the following:

  • Type “about:config” in Firefox’s address bar.
  • Click “I’ll be careful, I promise!” (or a similar message)
  • A list will open with a search bar above. In that search bar, enter: media.peerconnection.enabled and hit enter.
  • When provided with the result, double-click on it to turn its value to false.
  • Finish the process by closing down the tab

Instead of going through this process to disable WebRTC, you can simply install the Ivacy VPN Firefox extension, which comes with WebRTC leak protection.
