I cant play some older game version because the producer decided to release a remaster-remake-redux-reloaded shit version of it, and they want to enforce it down our throat. I dont care how many hours or money the spent to make it, people will buy it anyway if it is good enough, but some this titles are crap and just dont make up to the original title. Even when it is good, damn… I just want to be able to play the original title for nostalgia…

IM SO GLAD THAT PIRACY IS TAKING OVER ALL MEDIA ECOSYSTEM AGAIN.

Piracy is our only hope to keep the original content (made by humans) preserved, Furthermore, I see another threat that could take advantage of the normalization of this problem.

Everyone should be aware of Dead Internet issues, one of them is AI-Generated content. I truly believe that “title recycling while the original content is destroyed” is just the tip of the iceberg. With a wide range of motivations behind it, the urge to rewrite content will push the limits to the point where there are no “original content” anymore, the only option will be just-in-time generated content. This is bad.

Humanity hasn’t caught up to the reality of the times; we should adjust copyright laws so anything over say 10 years old can be hosted for free on the Internet. We should have colossal databases of music, books, movies, etc. that can be freely traded and downloaded without breaking any laws. Maybe in the past the commerical protection of art and IP was necessary but with the Internet and AI I think we need to, as a species, get over it and focus on information archival and dissemination over protecting income streams. quacked on The Vanishing Page: AI Firms Scan Then Destroy Rar…

Another copyright related issue is that some companies found destructively scanning physical media easier than dealing with copyright in its quest for training data. We are talking about mass destruction of physical media, so the “digital version” will be the only option. But be aware that you do not actually own any digital copies purchased through legal means.
